My daughter accidentally left the cat in her room when she went to school, closing the door and cutting off his access to the litter box. Anyway, the stench was foul. We cleaned with your standard regimen of cleaners (Resolve, Lysol, baking soda, et al) - and the smell became only slightly better. The next day, the odor remained (never underestimate evolution - this cat's territory is MARKED)... so we had it professionally cleaned.

The smell is only marginally better, and I'm out another $100. Any ideas?

If you can see your hallway walls from your LVRM do they need to be painted the same color as your LVRM walls. Im going to use a creamy colored paint for the LVRM and add splashes of rose, browns, greys around the room so should I stick with the creamy colored paint in the hallway or is there another color that would look better with light brown carpet? Im sorry for asking so many questions I m just really confused and the help Im getting from you all is really helping! Thanks again!

Our year is a mix of areas that are grass, significantly weeds, and just dirt - so should we put down weed killer first? Should we throw down seed now (before winter), or in the spring? We're all for the easiest/least work option that will work out sufficiently

I have alot of neutral colors in my home and i would like some advice on colors for the kitchen. I have an older style kitchen and the cabinet doors have some engraved lines on the front of the door which I think would need to be a different color than the rest of the door. I was thinking about painting the doors a light wheat brown and then all the trim around the doors and the engraved parts a chestnut brown and the walls around the kitchen a creamy color. I dont know if this will look old or to dull? I need help! Ant suggestions or do you think Ive chosen the right colors? Thanks!

I had the water supply ran when the house was built a couple of months ago. Now I am ready to put an icemaker in my freezer. I am pretty handy, did a lot of building my own home, installed all the ceiling fans and the garbage disposal myself, is this something I should be able to do or do I need to call a pro?

Why does left or right hand matter? can't you just turn the tub to have the drain on either side?

My lawn is just terrible. I fertilize it and plant new grass seed every year, but it dies every summer. I think I have bad soil or something. The grass does okay for awhile, but as soon as it starts getting hot, the grass starts dying. The only thing that survives is the crabgrass.

I know crabgrass doesn't look as nice as normal grass, but anything is better than a completely dead front lawn. I was wondering what would happen if I just planted crabgrass all over the whole lawn on purpose. Does anyone ever do this? I can't afford to replace all the topsoil in my yard.

Is there any reason I shouldn't have a yard full of crabgrass? Would my neighbors hate me or think I'm weird? If this isn't something that's unacceptable, where would I find crabgrass seed?

They are not in the car they are under the hood. the car isn't dirty. They are chewing on the transmission wire and the ones to my carberator. Hope that is a little clearer for you. I want a nartural repellent that I can put on the ground or the tires so they will choose another place to chew. I can't park it anywhere else either. Where I live is in the country and the area I park on is gravel. Hope this give you a better picture.

I want to rip up the old linoleum in my bathroom and install some tile. The previous owners laid the current layer of linoleum on top of the original linoleum. From the little bit I've peeled up to look underneath it looks like chip board underneath that. Does that mean I need to lay some kind of backerboard underneath the tile? I also plan on tearing out the curent cabinets and installing new ones. Should I install the tile or the cabinets first?
