I know it is a matter of preference, but what is most common? Semi-gloss would be my bet.

We just bought a house and the basement is damp. There is some leakage around the corners of the floor/wall. Now under normal circumstances water proofing this wouldnt be too complicated. Here is my problem. This house had some foundation problems, the back foundation wall cracked and started to bow in. It has been fixed, the plans were drawn up by an engineer and followed. The fix is a permanent one but is not a cosmetic one. In other words, though the building is structurally sound the wall was not replaced. Now I want to waterproof it and finish at least part of the basement for added living space. We plan to divert water away from the house outside and slope the ground at the base so water flows away. But am I able to use a sealant type waterproofer on the inside of the basement? Or will that put too much pressure on the bowed in area and cause more problems? Im looking for an inexpensive solution please. As of right now we plan to go with a baseboard system.

I'm used to doing it in the spring - usually I just pull out a stem and plop it in the ground by itself. Next season it turns into a bush/cabbage-like bunch. Question is, can I do this now? If I do, will it turn into a "bush" in the spring? The plant is still blooming. I live in Maryland/metro DC/Balto area. What do you think? Thanks

I have an expensive piece of Kosta Boda glass that got some minor but quite visible abrasions and chips. Can those be repaired or 'ground out'? If so, who could do that?

I have just replaced a gate valve on the 28mm water supply to the bottom of the hot water cylinder. Unfortunately in doing so have moved the pipe during installation which has caused two small holes in the copper on the tank at the point in meets the outlet. The fractures are quite tiny, however enough to cause a drip. Is there an easy way of repairing this which doesn't involve me replacing the cylinder

Honestly I never thought I'd ask this. Am wondering if I can run some bleach through or what. Is my laundry just doomed or are there fresh fields of daisies somewhere in my future.
(the laundry soap ads get me hopeful)

I live in So. Cal. and I hate housework. Where can I find someone to clean my house? I can only spend 100.00 per month, what can I get for that?

I think it's the box spring that squeeks well more like I don't know I can't even explain its like that farting sound beds make. What can I do to stop it from making that noise. It wakes me up all night when I turn around in bed.

I'm just north of Houston, and I have St. Augustine grass. Last winter, the lawn just sortof went into a no-mow needed stasis over the winter months, then rebounded in the spring.

Ideally, should anything be added to the soil during the fall-winter time when the lawn is in stasis, or just let it go until spring with occasional watering?

I know that I can go to Lowes & Home Depots website and they have one. But they only have w. some paint brands. I would like to use any brand I want or have a larger selection. Plus those websites only let you play around w/ the sample pics and not upload my own. Anything would be a help. Thanks in advance to everyone!!!

When I go out, sometimes I am in a place where there are black lights (i.e. a bar or a nightclub). I look at some of my clothes under the black light, and I see some spots and blotch marks. Is there any way to get these marks out during a wash cycle so the clothes don't appear blotchy under a light? Or is it caused by something in the water like mineral buildup or something?
