Lol. Why don't you just walk up to the sea or a bin or something and drop it in. Instead of throwing it because everyone knows that when you throw a boomerang, it comes back.

It sounds like the previous owner mustve sprinkled fairy dust on it to give it magical powers. You should rub it on your keys so you never lose those too.
