Yes you can, but the formica will need to chemically etched to hold the paint of at least sanded. You should use either an epoxy or alkyd enamel paint. You should put at least to heavy coats and maybe even a clear sealer on top of that. This will not be nearly as durable as the original formica but it can be done.

I think I answered this before.. YOU CAN paint a formica countertop but it WILL NOT>>>>>>> WILL NOT>>>> last.. the paint will chip off in short time. To make lit last longer.. I would urge you to paint it first with a kilz primer and then apply the paint.. it(the final paint) will last longer ono the formica

Yes......You will have to "ruff" up the surface so the paint will stick. Use sandpaper to do this. Then get some "Kilz" at Home Depot. Put two coats on. Let that dry good before putting on your final coat of the color you desire. That should work. Good Luck!!!
