The countertops I am replacing are white, formica, in good condition with a cutout for a corner sink. I called Habitat and they said they don't take used countertops (but their website says they do). I don't just want to dump them--they're fine countertops. Who should I call?

It looks like my night stand has gotten wet and I didn't notice it. When I was cleaning I noticed that the wood is starting to form a bubble right by an edge. Is there anyway of stopping this from getting worse.

I have one door in my home that I have tried to seal all around but the crickets keep getting in somewhere. Luckily this is a mud room and they seem to like it there and don't go any further. Is there something that I can spray or maybe a powder substance that I can sprinkle along the threshold to kill them before they enter? I'm bugged.

Supposidly if you bury a statue of some saint in your yard it will help sell your home. Anyone know the details on who and how? There is no disrespect intended in this posting. FYI

I recently installed a bunch of receptacles in my attic. They are in a dedicated circuit controlled by an Arc Fault breaker in the service panel. I tested every single outlet with a receptacle circuit analyzer and it shows they are all installed correctly. But whenever I plug in a lamp or a fan, the moment I turn it on the breaker trips. Bad breaker? Help please..

The asbestos is currently attached to an old fashioned "octopuss" (gravity based heating system). In particular, the arms or "runs" that stem from the main unit are covered (or insulated) in asbestos. I was wondering...would it be safe to cover the asbestos tape with duct tape just to prevent particles from becoming airborne in the basement? Will the duct tape melt or otherwise become toxic by doing this? I'm trying to find a middle of the way solution until I can afford the $6,000 cost of having it removed by a professional asbestos removal service. Thank you very much for your input! It is very appreciated:)

The pressure of water in my upstairs shower is really low, and I want to improve it. The shower head is (just about) the recommended 1 metre below the level of the cold water tank. I don't know how to tell whether my system is "gravity-fed" or not, and whether fitting a shower booster pump is feasible. Grateful for any advice.

I have a ficus tree that must be about 7' tall and at least 6' around. The tree is from my father-in-laws funeral and I don't want to lose it. We are moving into a much small space and won't have room for a tree this size. I would like to take cuttings from this tree and keep at least a part of it.
