I have a Scotts drop spreader (model 1000, aka El Cheapo) and using the suggested setting on the back of my Scotts grass seed hardly drops any seeds. Do your best to describe the coverage... maybe seeds per square inch or how high to bump the setting on the spreader. Thank you!

One wall in my LVRM is wood, but is painted white to match the other walls. I would like to paint just this one wall but I don't know what color I should paint it. Our coffee tables and TV stand are dark brown wood and our sectional is a bluish-grey color. Any ideas on a color that would look ok with these colors? Thanks for the help!!

what would be the recomended way to install automatic gate openers on a cedar gate? would it be best to place the openers on the sides of the stone pillars that hold up the fence or on the same side that the gate is attached to?

I have scrubbed it with soap and water and have also tried soaking it in vinegar, but didn't get anywhere with those attempts, however they were the only ideas I could come up with.

This item cannot be replaced, I wish that it could, 'cause I would.

Thanks.

I have this Maple looking tree next to my driveway on
my property and it causing problems, well at least for
me. During and after the fall season, the leave drops
and it's all over the driveway, which is not a problem
because that's what tree does during fall and winter,
but my biggest problem is this, I don't know what kind
of tree this is but besides the leaves, there are tons
of small round shell -looking beads all over my
driveway. I spoke to my friend and he said those are
problem trees and their roots are very shallow near
the surface of the lawn. I really love having this
tree because it blocks the sun during summer and it's
hot where I live and i don't know what to do? Should I
have someone cut it down and plant something else? I
want something with big leaves, easy to clean up and
the leaves are big enough to block the sun. Please
advice!

I'm taking over a tiling job that is half completed, in the shower the last tiler left a rubbery membrane that is loosely stapled to the lower walls and floor. I don't know if I'm to keep stapling through this stuff, or put "backer-board" on top of it (which would also include putting screw holes in it), or wheighing it down with tile (doubtful). Any advice, or tips on websites that have the answer would be much appreciated.

In my new car it has the home link system (basically a garage door opener). I was reading the manual and it says you can set it up to turn on your porch lights, etc. I went to home depot, but the guy didn't know what I needed. Anyone know what I need? I need a new porch light anyway, so want to get one that is able to do this.

And that I have been over watering the tree (I water it every other day or so) apparently it makes the leaves to big and nothing gets to the fruit! Is that true?

Hey all DIYers, I have a small project I'm considering taking on. Actually, re-taking on. I have a huge "builders" mirror in my bathroom (60'x42') and I want to frame it. Problem is there is absolutley no allowances on either side, so I have to adhere right to the mirror. Any suggestions on what materials to use and how to properly adhere. I've been to a framing store and they want upwards of 100 bucks to build just a small frame.
