I have a black ceramic cook top stove. I had milk boil over and burn onto the burner. The normal cooktop cleaner is not working to take it off. Any suggestions on how to clean it?

We have tried everything short of paying a plummer 65$$ an hour to fix it. We tried to plunge, use a snake...we even used muratic liquid lightning. I think my daughter may have dropped a small toy in there and it got lodged ...does any other professionals have ANY ideas of what to do!?

I just moved house two weeks ago. The survey conducted by the mortgage company revealed no significant problems and stated:
"The general condition of the property appears consistent with its age and type of construction but some works of repair and maintenance are required."

Only one week after moving in, a large damp spot appeared on the wall, and so I had a full survey carried out. The RCIS surveyor says that at least one room has damp, and this could possibly extend into the kitchen. Also, the roof of the extension needs replacing and the chimney needs fixing on properly. He stated that the first survey should have noticed this and advised on the report, it's possible that I can write to the mortgage company with a copy of the report and get money back for the repairs.

Can anyone advise on the best way to do this? And has anyone else had success using this tactic?

The standard disclaimer on the valuation says: It should not be replied upon.

I've changed the relay panel under the oven that controls the ignition gas and pilots, where is the next place to look? The ignitor sometimes glows and other times doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Caloric - Model# RST310UWW

It's only 9 inches difference and the violation is "accessibilty" for a technician to service the furnace. Had it serviced and they didn't say anything. But the water heater guy says it's a violation. I either move the furnace 9" or rip the bathroom out. I don't have the $ for that! If not done, heat is cut off in 45 days (Nov). Can they do that?
