sometimes a tumble drier overheats and knocks itself off to emliminate this check if there is a red reset button at the back if there is press it .after you think the machine has cooled done try it again even if no button ,have you had clothes that have been to wet in it ,again wait till it cools or maybe you overloaded it,
These are things that have been a problem on my tumble driers over past yrs if nothing works after trying these it either needs a new belt or motor.

The drive belt as most likely broken. It happened to me once. Not too expensive for the belt. BIG PAIN to install.
Unless the dryer is very old, it would be worth your wile to repair it as cloths dryers tend to last a long time.
Unless you are mechanically inclined, I would contact your local appliance repair shop and have them install a new belt.

The belt has probably snapped. You need to take the back off and check. If it's snapped, you need to buy a new one from a hardware shop and fit it (you might need a professional to do this, it might be cheaper to buy a new dryer!)

If it's still heating it's prob just the belt, they sell the kit with instructions and pictures at the appliance repair store for about $25.00..do it yourself I did If you call for repair it will prob cost you 75-80 for labor + parts...

Good luck :0)

this happened to me a few months ago and i got the belt replaced. i was less than £10 for the belt and managed to put it on myself but it was hard to do as the belt fits VERY tight. just get someone strong to help you.

Probably needs a new belt (if the blower still blows air). It's not rocket science to replace it but it's not terribly easy either.

take off the back, and see if thebelt has slipped or broken. If ithas slipped, simply replace it, if it has broken, you will have to buy a new one and replace it. What ever you do, don't forget to disconnect the power cord from the wall first
