In my bathroom it has gone orange-ish (for some weird reason). I've tried scrubbing it wih normal detergent but it hasn't helped. I don't want to re-grout it.

Sounds like your grout should be good and clean since you have already done so much too it. Removing the grout is a bear, I have never seen it done where it ever looked good again. One slip and you've scratched a tile (believe me, I know) so here's what I did about 10 or 12 years ago. Wish I could remember if I used oil base or latex based paint. I really think it was oil based paint diluted down with paint thinner so it would work like a stain and I technically stained my grout back to white. It still looks great. Nowadays when it starts looking dull all I have to do is wipe it down with clorox and it brightens back to white as soon as it dries.

Try a product called Grout Reviver. Can't remember which company makes it but I probably bought it at Wilkinsons. Wash down the grout, paint it on with the little brush that comes with it. Let it dry and clean off the excess on the tiles. A bit time consuming but it works well.

There is a tile refinisher that you can get at the hardware store. You have to spray it on and then brush it off. It will clean the grout up. If you have any glass or metal, don't use it on that part because it discolors it.

Do you use a coal tar based shampoo ie. Vosene or T gel these stain the grouting.
Try a stiff toothbrush and bleach.

Use a bleach based product... is it orange or pinkish... cause if it's pinkish it's actually a mold problem... if you don't want to re-grout look at re-sealing it... Caulk works great if you just need a cheep fix (renters dream)

Use Bleach, take a 16oz. spray bottle and add 3/4 bleach and the rest water. This is the best. After use C.L.R. calcium rust and lime remover you can buy at any hardware store.

Bleach is your answer my friend. My missus just removed the orangey stuff from our bathroom grout the other day.
