I have a basement apartment, in which two rooms on a single circuit contain two computers (one LCD monitor and one CRT monitor), a television, a few lamps and sometimes an XBox. Is it possible that I overloaded the circuit with that much power? The lamps were flickering weird and a day or two later, the power in the room simply went out (and overloaded my crappy surge protector and blew up my old computer.)

Is the wiring in here just crappy? My landlord says I have too much plugged in, but computers don't use THAT much power. Is he just lying so he doesn't have to hire an electrician? Should I really have to reset the breaker every week or so?

I'm going to weld a couple of pieces of steel together. What would clean the surface better, gasoline or acetone? It doesn't have any existing paint on it.

We have this pipe that connects to the kitchen. Everytime we wash dishes or use the sink the water go's directly to the pipe. But the problem here is that the pipe is so old that it totally rusted through. So now there's a huge hole in the pipe and thats why it leaks. And I don't mean a little leak, I'm talking gushing water like niagra falls! What do we do?!

I am talking about modular homes (not manufactured homes). Modular homes are built to local codes (not HUD), just like conventional stick-built homes. And modular homes are stick-built also, but I have heard they use 30% more wood than conventional homes because modular homes have to be transported, therefore they are stronger than conventional homes. I have heard that modular homes are made indoors in a controlled environment, which is better, and are made more precisely with more quality control than conventional homes. I have also heard they appreciate the same as conventional homes.

Opinions?

I paid over US$2000 for a set of one glass vase, 5 glasses and 1 mirror tray, in a violet color that changes to blue under certain light. It has gold trim & elaborate floral designs, and the artist signed on it and came with a "Certificato di Garanzia" card. It's a company called CAM Vetri D'arte srl. Seemed pretty ligit. But saw other glasses in small store go for much less. Just wondering if I got ripped off?

What works as well as Diazinon Concentrate? The Triazide that they sell in its place does not kill as well. I used Diazinon outdoors to keep ants and spiders out of my home. I would use Dursban if I could find it (improper use I know). Malathion is too weak to use. And Sevin is a dust that I can't use. The ants and black widows are real bad because Triazide is not as potent. What is available on the market that will work?

I have two rose bushes in my backyard, one that is an old fogey and another one that just sprouted up underneath it this year. Both appear to be dead - there is no new growth anywhere, the new one is shriveled and brown and the old one appears brittle and grey.

I am wondering, though, is there any chance, if I remove the new one and simply cut the old one back, that it will come back to life? Or should I just uproot the whole thing and re-plant?

I am in Phoenix, if that makes any difference.

How do i prevent or what do I have to do to keep my indoor plants from collecting dust? The foliage tends to get dusty over a period of time. I have some plants inside the house while the rest are in a shaded part of the house.

Please help.
Thank you.
