Open the back, clean the lint out and do the same with the blower motor and lint trap.

Baking soda, it will absorb the odor. Put a small opened box in the dryer over night and see if the smell is gone the next morning, if not you may have to do this for a couple of nights. I had a bedroom that had a bad odor (the people that lived in the room didn't clean it) and it took me a week to get rid of the odor but it did work.

definately do link trap thing mentioned above and using a damp rag and a bit of laundry detergent, clean the inside of dryer, toss in dryer sheet and leave open overnite.

Option #1, try running on a no heat setting with only a few Downey sheets.
Option #2, wash a couple of rags and dry them with a couple of Downey sheets.

put a piece of charcoal inside the dryer and leave overnight. or sprinkle some vinegar and leave the door open for an hour.

pop in some essential oil(your fav) and see if the filter is clean !!!! often this is the crux of this problem good luck.
