The object looks like a mushroom stalk, but has no cap. It is about 6 inches long and 1-2 inches wide. It is hollow, with a hole in the top, and is growing vertically. It is white and has a blackish "sweater" around the top.

I just had a new roof. The question is there are many shingles sticking up. The roofer said that those sticking-up shingles will be flatten down after several weeks with rains and sunshines. Is this an acceptable interpretation to the questional work quality?

Thanks for your knowledgeable thoughts.

We are adding a new porch on our house and I have to move my lillies. I really don't want to replant them until we get the porch finished. Can I keep them over until spring? I live in the midwest. Thanks,
Hobby

I don't have an owners manual since I just bought the house and it's an older model garage door opener. It's a fixed keypad on the outside of the garage.
