When I had mold in my carpet at my apartment they just took all the carpet and padding out and put bleach down befor replacing it to kill any left ofer mold spores. If it is black mold get it taken care of ASAP as it is dangerous as far as I know.

you need to find the cause of the moisture first. Then remove all moldy or mildew tainted items wash with a mold killing disinfectant,and run a dehumidifier. You must fix the moisture problem first

you need a professional to do this. mold is strange some are extremely dangerous and if stirred up and breathed in. it can kill you.

rip up the carpeting and all the wood that has mold otherwise it will always be there
