I don't have an owners manual since I just bought the house and it's an older model garage door opener. It's a fixed keypad on the outside of the garage.

Check inside the door - mine has a box just inside the garage, near where the keypad is on the outside. Inside there is a "set code" button - press the set code button, input the new code, and press set code again. Then test and make sure it works. (Mine is a Genie, so it might be similar if yours is also.)

what make is it? i have a Craftsman 1/2 hp. It says to set it you need two people.
enter a 4 digit PIN on the keypad. press and hold ENTER.
At the garage wall unit, press and hold the LIGHT button then continue holding and press the push bar. When the motor lights blink, let go all three, you got it.

option b is to push the learn button on the motor.
then 4 digits on the pad. then enter. lights should blink.

Depending on the type of garage door opener you have, it may differ from this.
Remove the cover from the remote control unit. You will see a series of bit switches. The same bit switches are on the garage door opener itself. Both set of switches must match.

try using the model number and enter in in google there should be some instructions from manufacturer online or thru a 3rd party online.also most older openers use dip switches , these are inside the remote as well as the control head, check that as long as you position the switches the same on everything assuming yours has dip switches. good luck.

Call the homeowners association and ask about it. If you don't have a home owners association, ask your neighbors and see if they know what to do.
