Does baking cakes cookies and pies make you feel all cozy in the cold winter months.

Yes we seem to enjoy the coziness and the smell of all the baked goodies. Just thinking about it makes me want to make some homemade chocolate chip cookies and bake some bread. lol

It depends on where you live, but normally people bake more in the winter, this serves two purposes you get to eat some good food and it warms up your house at the same time, in summer it is a good idea to barbeque since you get to be outside and it doesnt get the house all hot.

I do more baking in the winter. It helps heat the apartment and in the summer the oven heats up the apartment and conflicts with the air conditioner.

I bake more in the fall and winter. It is too hot to bake in the summer.

For me the answer is yes. I live in Maine and the change of season has traditionally been a time to start baking in my family. I love to start baking in the fall and sharing the fruits of my labor with family & friends.
