My coils are soooo dirty from an improperly placed filter, and ignorance of not knowing to change it frequently enough. My furnace guy left me in the dark. I had a HVAC company do a check up and my coils are dirty. They charge $195.
My ducts are also very dirty, and may have not been cleaned since the house was built, 30+ years, so I would like to get those cleaned also.
I called an air duct cleaning company, and they offered to also clean the coils in my furnace for only $75. They offered a cheaper quote because of the convenience of already being in my home for the duct cleaning. Are they qualified to do such a job? Should I worry about them doing it correctly? I would love to go with them and save over a hundred dollars. Anyone who is HVAC certified that can give me a good reason not to use the duct-cleaning company, please let me know. Has anyone had their furnace coils cleaned by a duct-cleaning company?

I moved to Savannah, GA about a month ago and have sprayed for roaches 2x already, but I am still seeing some dead and some alive. I am terrified of roaches and have about lost my mind. Does anyone have any tips for how to get rid of these things. The locals around here have told me it is something you get used to...but I will never get used to those things. HELP Please!

These are big cushions that can't be put in a washer. I tried steam cleaning them but the green stains did not come out.

We are in the military and we have got orders to move in February. We have to sell our house and we don't really have time to fix it up. It is in pretty good shape but needs painting, new carpet, ect. I don't have the time to do much to it. Should I basically just sell as is and make a few allowances? How much allowance is a good amount for basic repairs. (the house has a great roof and good plumbing and a good working heating system) That is all I think really should matter anyway but does anyone have any advice for us.? We have to put it up for sale in 2 weeks. By the way we are first time sellers.

I received a garden mum from a funeral. Should I plant it in the garden now or keep in the house until spring? Will it die if I keep it in the house? Just someone let me know what I should do with it. Thanks

I've just moved into a new flat and the combi boiler is showing 0 pressure. I turn on the tap on the filling loop and there seems to be a lot of water entering the system but the pressure is not going up. It just stays on zero. I don't want to turn on the filling tap too long incase there is a big hole and the guy in the flat downstairs gets very wet. There is no sign of water leaking out of a radiator. So how long does it normally take to repressurise a combi system? Is it a couple of seconds or do I leave the tap on for minutes? Any help would be great. Thanks
