LAst night my cat kep running for the same spot and then backing away fast. He then spent virtually the whole evening outside of the room even though I was in there, and I was the only person in the house when normally he would want company.

men say women should be cleaning whilst men go out and work, so.. i say if women want a clean house they will clean it and if men want a clean house they would clean it too, is there some stupid myth that a women must clean whilst the man was out working?. ok heres what i think, if a man was to come home and spot some rubbish on the floor would he wait till the woman picked it up or would he pick it up himself? i wanna hear ur views does it really matter about who cleans up? as long as ur home is clean then does it really matter? this is just in generall i just wanna hear ur views about it.

these few stumpy kind of prickly leaves.the base of it looks like a pineapple (only the size of a large onion) I've had it since last year at this time. Since getting it three stems have sprouted up out of it and now they are about 3 feet long.there are 3 long stems but only one of them fully grew. the other two are still inthe first stages of blooming. leaves are still curled under and now they look as though they are dead. they are brown and no moisture is left. All the other stems and leaves are beautiful, why did those 2 not grow. Do I cut them down. It will look rather silly to have just one 3 foot long palm leaf standing alone. Can I cut that one down too? will they ever grow back? what do I do to keep it alive and beautiful??

What type of machinery is needed to dig a basement? I was told a backhoe, but is this really best, and is there a certain kind to rent? What does one of these cost to rent, and how long will it be needed usually?

I just ordered a mattress topper and am concerned it'll move around a lot since the people sleeping on it normally do...also, i don't know if it'll fit inside my sheets with my mattress, but think it would look stupid sitting on top by itself.

I have a beige colored tub in a house I just moved into... and the tub has a white type of bacteria or mildew thing on it. I tried just scrubbing it with basic cleaners and that was a no go. So if anyone has ever had this problem and solved it. PLEASE HELP!

While retiling my bath wall, I realized there is an area about 2'x2' that is rotten behind my siding and I can see a gap in one of the siding pieces at the bottom (about 2 feet long). Any alternative way to fix this problem without taking off the siding and putting in a new backing board in the area? I recently replaced the siding and now I know why that piece wasn't flush as I couldn't see the missing area. It is on the second level of the house and not an easy area to reach on the outside. Thanx

I have small black particles that are mixed into my water. It appears to only come from the hot water side and not the cold. Whatever this is, it seems to stain my bathtub quite easily. It will create a thin black ring around the edge of my tub when filled. I have also noticed, if I ever leave a cup facing up in the dishwasher, that the dishwasher water also has these particles. Does this sound like a hot water heater that is about to die, or do I need to just flush the system? Any help would be appreciated.

Just moved. Livingroom has off white walls & solid wood flooring which is a golden oak color. Am buying olive & off white livingroom furniture, but need to know what colors would go well for a large rug? The curtains are also green, but more pale. I'm not picky about the style rug; can be contemporary to Oriental, as long as the colors look good.

I'm replacing the drywall in my bath with hardibacker then going to tile. I have a piece that is about 2 1/2 feet where there will only be a stud on one side. I'm putting up 13x13 tile. Should I recut the other piece and get more to make sure it is nailed into a stud on both ends or can I tape or morter it to the next piece? Thank you!

My mother has had nothing but problems with her landlord since the day she moved into her rented house. The latest problem is having to do with the water. (which by the way they have had problems in the past about this too) They turned off her water earlier in the day and said they don't know when they will be back to turn it back on. Is there some law protecting renters against stuff like this, shouldn't it be against the law to leave someone without water for days? She is having to come to my house to shower and such, which is a really big inconvience to all of us involved since we live across town from one another. We live in Missouri, and any information reguarding renters rights would be appreciated.
