I have a dresser and it is still in good condition except that one of the drawers broke off from the dresser and I can't seem to put it back because the tracks that holds the drawer broke off. Is this something that I can fix on my own or do I have to buy a new dresser?

I have a 220 receptacle that's only drawing 110, so it's enough to run the dryer, but not enough to run the heating element. Is there any way to figure out why it's not drawing the full amount without calling an electrician??

Some guy was suspost to come look at it but never did! So now i'm stuck being crowded! Can I just put it out by the road? Do I have to call a certain number for someone to take it off? I live on a military base so not sure what to do with it!!! HELP!!!

I just remodeled my garage into a room and when I taped the joints in the sheet rock I got a few bubbles in the tape. Is there an easy way to get rid of these? I thought of cutting the bubbles open and putting in some glue, and then I thought that I would give someone a chance to get 10 points before I did that.

I know this sounds funny, but we had oh so much trouble doing this today. We just bought a 8*5 trailer. We have posts on either side of the driveway. Then there are support posts for carport. Then we have to back it into the garage, which only has about 12 inches of clearance on either side, so not a lot of margin for error. Anyone have any words of wisdom on how to do this??

This is a little confusing. If I don't explain this clearly, please let me know so I can add details.

I recently moved into a new home. There is a combo lock on the front door that consists of two locks(top and bottom) encased in a silver rectangular cover. There is one keyhole on the outside of front door, and one key unlocks both locks at one time.

Ok, from the inside I must turn the latch on the top lock, to the right, for it to lock the door. For the bottom lock, I must push the button in, and turn it to the right, for it to lock.

Now here is what's weird, when both the top and bottom lock are turned to the right and locked from the inside, so no one can get in from the outside, if I turn the knob to the left, without unlocking either lock, both automatically release and I can open the door.

Is this supposed to happen? What type of lock is this, and is it secure? I've never had a lock like this. Thanks

I live in an area with a lot of development going on. Everday I see large trucks from companies that supply topsoil and clean fill. I have always assumed topsoil is the top layer of soil and clean fill is soil that has had all the rocks and bits sifted out. But where does it come from? I mean, if we keep digging up the top sooild from one place and move it to another, won't we do damage to the general enviroment??

My husband and I had a contractor look at our upstairs to give re-modeling estimates. It's an older house and we are looking to re-do walls, carpet, new windows, change the bathroom, update electrical and add heat/cooling vents. There are 2 1/2 rooms and a bathroom. The estimates came back totalling $30,000! We only paid $97,000 for the house. Does this sound right? I'm no construction expert. Would it be better to sell the house and buy one that's finished or save up the money to do this?

I was wondering if I could use exterior paint to paint my son's bedroom? I want something that will be very durable. If I can't use exterior paint to paint his room then I would like to know why I can't and a suggestion for something else that can hold up to being in a child's bedroom. Thanks!
