I just got a new couch and now have three couches and a chair in my living room and it's driving me crazy! One couch has a matching chair...and the other is green. Some guy was suspost to come look at it but never did! So now i'm stuck being crowded! Can I just put it out by the road? Do I have to call a certain number for someone to take it off? I live on a military base so not sure what to do with it!!! HELP!!!

Usually there are thrift shops on post, perhaps they will take it. If not, I'll bet you can find all sorts of worthy charities who would give it a good home. Ask a chaplain. Dont put it out on the curb on a post, I imagine you could get into a bit of trouble for that.

Contact someone like the Salvation Army. They'll pick it up and give you a receipt for a tax deduction

well there is craigslist.com and i am sure that there is a DAV or ARC or salvation army that will take the couch off your hands. if you live on base you will have to ask how they want the couch treated.

Go to freecycle.com and join the club in your area. Sign up is free. People post things only for free. You can post things you want and you can post things you're trying to get rid of. It works great.

try a local site "freecycle. com" you have to give it away. try "Craig's list" locally, you can sell or trade it. Set it on the front lawn and put a price on it, someone will offer you a lower price, take it. If you put free on it, no one will want it, good luck.

Get permission first from the brass, then if its okay, simply set it outside and put a free sign on it.

put it on the curb... someone else who needs a couch will snap it up in a blink of an eye.
