My girlfriend bought this 7 piece set at an antique shop several years ago, and we are considering selling it, but would like to have an idea of the set's value before we offer it for sale... I would be happy to e-mail a picture of the set to anybody who thinks they can identify and assess it's value. Thanks in advance for your assistence!!!!!

I had a strip of lawn that was all weeds. I sprayed it with Round-up. I plan to rototill the strip after the weeds die, rake out the dead weeds, then plant new grass in the area. If I put too much Round-up, will that eventually disipate in the soil, or is it there for good?

I have had some answers but most involve cutting the tree down! The tree is 27 ft in circumference, in a forest, it would be interesting to know how old it may be and i thought there may be an approximate way of working it out by using the circumference.

I sell angelic figurines and would like to create a 'stairway to heaven' effect where the angels sit on the stairs. Ideally it would be a romantically sweeping balustrade staircase. Overall the dimensions would be 3 ft wide, 3 ft deep and 4 ft high. I would welcome any suggestions on how to make this a reality or where I can buy such a staircase. Many thanks.

I have tried all kinds of commercialised brands but no improvements at all. I am confident only acid does the job but how to get it the legal way? Help!

It is in a corner, between the living room and a bedroom. All the windows in the house have vertigal blinds but I'm not sure if I want vertigal blinds on the conservatory. I thought roller blinds might be good as I'd be able to put plants on the windowsill then. Really not sure, would I need to stick to vertigal blinds to keep in with the rest of the house? Any advice you have would be most welcome, thanks.

I do my own ironing and I'm pretty good at it, but when I send my shirts off to a laundry, they come back pressed far, far more effectively than I can ever achieve. Do they have special machines for this? Do they use more steam, or higher temperatures? How can I achieve the same effect?

I have a question. What would you do if you had a friend that kept her house a total mess? to go over there is horrible. the smell makes you want to vomit, fleas area all the time biting you, and you cant step anywhere without having to walk around things. i have cleaned the house for her in the past and then it has always gone right back to hell. i feel rude by not going over to her house and always having her over to mine, but i cant stand being over there. should i say something to her? what should i do? i dont want to trash our friendship. let me know what ya think!
