I've just moved into a new flat and the combi boiler is showing 0 pressure. I turn on the tap on the filling loop and there seems to be a lot of water entering the system but the pressure is not going up. It just stays on zero. I don't want to turn on the filling tap too long incase there is a big hole and the guy in the flat downstairs gets very wet. There is no sign of water leaking out of a radiator. So how long does it normally take to repressurise a combi system? Is it a couple of seconds or do I leave the tap on for minutes? Any help would be great. Thanks

Was it empty when you moved in? (the radiators, I mean) Maybe the scour **** (drain valve) has been left open, in which case you will have to close it before you can fill the system. Look arond the house for a pipe coming through the wall, with water coming out while you try and fill it.

with mine it takes about 10 seconds and theyre is a gauge and it shows it going up.

Might be worth getting someone to have a look at it.

I used to rent a house that had one that kept loosing pressure and it needed a new part and leaked and it was loosing pressure coz it was leaking.
