The plant gets mostly sun during the day. It is in my backyard in San Diego, about a mile inland from the beach. It is watered well by drip system every third day. It is flourishing after being transplanted from another location. When it was transplanted (about two months ago), I cut it back and added soil ammendment and slow release fertilizer to the planting hole. One branch is loaded with very tiny greenish white flowers. They seem to be falling off before they fully develop (but they do seem to be opening). The blossoms are supposed to be very fragrant at night, but I don't smell anything. It has been getting cooler at night (60-68 degrees) here for the past week or so. Could this be why it's not fragrant?
I planted this plant for its fragrance, so I'm very dissapointed that I can't smell anything and would like to know if something I am doing is causing the flowers to drop, or perhaps the nursery sold me a mis-labelled plant.
Thank you
