Because you evidently do not know how to care for them properly. Check with a specialist at a greenhouse and ask the question. You may find out that you are doing something wrong that when corrected will give you healthy plants inside and out.

..maybe inside your home is to warm? maybe leave a fan on for air to circulate...mist the outer
leaves with a spray bottle, water well the whole plant [even if extra water stays on top and then give some plant food to bring it back again....

usually the main problems are light and water, most people don't understand how much light a plant needs and they usually over water or under water their plants
central heat and air is also rough on plants
please contact your local garden shop for advice
and get a good book on houseplants for future reference

Buy plastic or silk plants.
Works wonders.

Usual reasons are wrong amount of water (too much or too little) or wrong amount of light (usually not enough).
