I think I have racoons getting into the trash. I've tried putting bleach and anomnia inside and outside the grabage can, but they still get in it. Any suggestions would help because I am sick of picking up trash.

I recieved a basket of plants at my fathers funeral, and have no idea what most of them are. I am looking for a book or website that will tell me what they are and how to care for them.

I have some old wood bedroom pieces from the 1920's that look really good, but there are some scratches and water stains on them. Are such issues easy for a regular person to fix or must I take them to a professional? Thanks!

We are looking to purchase 10 acres in GRANTS PASS area in southern Oregon. Would really like to know what we should expect to pay to have somebody clear the trees and brush and make a road/driveway into the property probably around 900 feet of mild uphill wooded land. Also would need a homesite cleared. ANY IMPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!

Victorian terraced house in East london
I live half way up a hill (so I would be suprised if it's standing water or underground river)
The water seeps through the brickwork at the bottom of the wall I share with my neighbour

The leaves are small, round shaped, white, transparent and have a silver or pearly glow. I don't think they grow on trees, they're more a foliage plant / bush. Any one knows the common or scientific name?

Thanks.

Hypothetically, let's say I want to set up a process for melting down junk jewelry and extracting whatever gold might be in it. Let's also keep in mind that I have a somewhat limited budget to work with and limited or no access to exotic reagents (high concentrate acids, heavy metals, etc) and even if I HAD access I don't have the experience to work with such chemicals safely.

There are a host of resources for melting/casting other metals (aluminum, bronze, etc) but almost nothing (that I can find at least) on melting or casting precious metals. The processes are not the same - melting precious metals requires special handling to minimize losses to oxidation, etc. but aside from that notation, I've found very little information on what the differences in the processes are.

Any clues on how to do it or where to look?

TIA
