The leaves are large - milky grey-green and are fuzzy feeling, leaves are low and this single rod of greenish-yellow flowers making up the rod is about 2 in. in diamater and very, very long.

Best advice is to take several digital pictures of the plant and you might even want to preserve samples of the leaves and any flowers or seed heads. You can use this information to find the identity of the plant at any one of a number of botanical websites that include plant photos and descriptions. A Yahoo search for "plant identification" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 1,510,000 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will find the information you seek.
