how long would it take to build and fully outfit a house that you had designed?

I built a house for my lego men when i was little, it took a total of 15.375 minutes to complete, not only the design process but also the building and decorating!!!

That depends on the architecture, square footage and overall design of the home. It also depends on the location of the home. In the U.S., it takes longer to build a home in the North than in the South. Here in Florida, we have a water table of 9-12 ft, so there aren't homes with basements, but you can build a basement home in the North, therefore it takes longer because of the excavation, stemwall forms, concrete pours, etc. So, I am needing more information to answer your question appropriately.

In a number of cases the main factor is money. Getting the finances, going over budget etc...if you go over budget early on in the build it may be difficult to get further finance to finish the project, or it may take time.

Depends on who is doing the work, A small house can be built in 35 days, most , 90 days, - you, alone, 1 year.

It could take as little as three months to as long as a year. It all depends if your doing it yourself or having it done. The key to doing it yourself is building a schedule and have all of the sub-contractors assigned a date to do their work.

if you have got everything ready, ie builder, windows, plasterer, electrician, plumber you should get a new house built in around a month. just remember to order furniture early as they can take up to 8 weeks to arrive, i was waiting for weeks for the other half of my kitchen and 6 weeks for my sofa!
