It is admirable that you want to find a humane solution to the wasp population in your house. Unfortunately, wasps are dangerous in great numbers and disturbing the nest would only result in a mass attack on you, or anyone else trying to remove it. Wasps do not die when they sting, and will launch a furious attack which could result in the death of someone, especially babies and young children.
I would strongly advise you to put the rights of the wasps aside, and make safe your home so that you and your family (and neighbours) do not become harmed by their attacks - and unfortunately that means killing the full population that has infiltrated your house.

thankyou for wanting a humane solution. Wasps are not all bad because they eat termite larvae. I would carefully knock down the nests nearest the house and leave any others alone.
A wasp sting can be treated with a rub of vinegar, then it stops hurting.

Contact your local Council's Pest Control Officer who will deal with your problem.
He/she will have all the gear and materials to kill them off.
I would have advised you how to deal with a single nest, but you are PLAGUED by a number of nests.
Attend to it quickly before you or anyone else becomes a victim of an attack which could prove to be fatal!
There is no humane way of disposal as the queen is in the nest permanently and is too fat to fly.

my neighbour used to have this problem, he called in a bee keeper, who smoked them out, removed and destroyed the nest , we had a bonfire going to keep wasps well away from house until the hole they got in was cleaned out and bricked up.he also bought some kind of spray that was a deterrent and sprayed around house, it worked they tried to come back but we had also sprayed our house cant remember what the spray was called.

yeah set a small fire below its "nest" and put live leaves over the fire so that a thick smoke will engulf the "nest" do it for at least an hour and youll see them disappear... thats the most humane way of getting rid of them..

kill them, kill them all its the only way to get rid of them, if the nest is on your land get in an exterminator if not try gently reminding whoever does own the place of the nest that you've got a swarm around your place

You could enlist the help of a bee keeper to move the nest.

I have been told that if you paint the top of the ceiling on the porch red they will not bother you. I've thought of doing it but we have a brand new house and my husband said no. If you try it let me know if it works.
