To get rid of flies, clean up any foods that attract them and repair any screens that are allowing them access. Your roach problem is another story. Best advice is to hire the services of a professional exterminator. If you have a cockroach infestation, most "do-it-yourself" remedies will have little long term effect.
Good luck with your problem.

Food and believe it or not roaches are attracted to nail clippings. Keep your room clear of those things. I would first have the room fumigated then put up fly strips. Continue to have your room fumigated once a month. If your room is clean it is possible that the rooms around you are the culprits. Try to have them do the same.

Use a bleach and water solution to wash hard surfaces. Use DampRid or another moisture absorbing material to dry the air. Use caulking or putty to seal any holes or gaps in baseboards, walls, and floors. Also, a few roach traps or chemical baits wouldn't hurt.
If the problem persists, contact a qualified pest control company.

There are always sprays. But I find Combat works real well.Or maybe you can get both.
Also like the above mentioned ,you have to keep your place tidy.food, even the smallest crumbs--that's all it takes.
