My Polaris vacuum sprung a leak in the hose and drained a bunch of water out of the pool. The water level got below the minimum line and the pump and filter were pumping air all night. The system was still running when I discovered the problem and shut it off. Will there be any damage to the system? Can I just turn it back on after I refill the pool or do I need to add DE or anything first? Thanks!

i have a friend who lives in a very small town who is having a skunk problem. At night it was getting up on her deck and eating all her cats food. She now takes the food in at night hoping that would discourage the skunk but all that did was seem to make the skunk mad and she thinks it is attacking her cats now. She can't shoot it cause they are in town, she can't poison it cause the cats might get into the poison and because it is such a small town there is no animal control there. Is there a way to get rid of skunks that won't hurt her other pets? She is getting desperate. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Not sure if this is the right category but couldn't find any that this question really fit into.

I have steam heat in my house built in 1924 and it has the large radiators throughout the house. I am thinking of changing to hotwater baseboards. Can they heat an entire house? Are the cost effective? Any help would be appreciated.

I bought about 50 daffodil bulbs from a reputable internet site & left them in the garage in the orginal packaging for about 2 years in NJ in the cold of winter and heat of the summer. Are they still good? Can I tell from looking at them?

I have a Lucky Bamboo plant, I've heard that you can take cuttings from the stalks. If you cut from the stalk itself and place it in water, will it grow roots and grow taller? And about the leaves that grow off the stalks, can you cut those? Do they grow? Thanks

I discovered these today and assumed they were flying ants, although winged and long, they were crawling rather than flying. I have found an area of skirting board where they seem to be coming from, and when I gently sprayed, expecting to see small crawling ants, I saw tiny black flies. I dont know what type of infestation I have under the boards or how to deal with it. Help! my skin is crawling!

I need a new vacuum. I seen the infomercial for Swivel Sweepers. Do they really work? I go through a sweeper every two years. I only live in a 1 bedroom apt, but I have two cats. I need something that picks up hair and litter very well. I know Dyson is great, but I can't afford $500 for a vacuum, more like $150
