I need a new vacuum. I seen the infomercial for Swivel Sweepers. Do they really work? I go through a sweeper every two years. I only live in a 1 bedroom apt, but I have two cats. I need something that picks up hair and litter very well. I know Dyson is great, but I can't afford $500 for a vacuum, more like $150

Thanks, tary...my apartment is 90% carpeting. Do you think it will work as well? Do you have pets?

Brakedown, last year, I bought a Bissel vacuum at Wal-Mart for about $45. It worked fine until recently. It doesn't pick up the pet hair unless I use the attachments. Two years before that, I paid $150 for a Eureka bagless and I didn't think that lasted that long for how much I paid and I had to purchase costly filters.

The swivel sweeper isn't really made for the kind of traffic and animal can bring into the home. It would most likely be better to consider a regular vacuum. If you need something to use on stairs, furniture and the floor you might think about getting a canister style. Even the shop vacuums make for good equipment in the home and are easy to clean. Most of them have more power than regular vacuums - helps with animal hair - and don't require replacement bags. They only run around $50 - 75 new.

those things are the BEST. I have 90% linoleum in a 1700 sq. foot house. It picks up all dust and dirt. I would definately recommend one.
