If I encourage it with the plunger, it drains fast until the water is gone. When I turn on the tap again, the drain is slow again. When I disconnect the drain, the sink drains into a bucket fast. When I took out the trap plug, it drained fast. Put it back together and then it's slow once again.
Please don't say "Call a plumber"; I get that. I just wanted to know if anyone has had a funny slow drain like this before, where it will drain fast if it gets a sinlge pulse with a plunger then return to slowness.

Hi,
I am adding some plumbing for a washer machine in my addition. My question has to do with the drainage of the washer. Do I have to have a sink for the water to drain? Do I need a P trap? Can it drain directly into the vent? or should it be a seperate pipe? I guess my question is basically what would be the best way to set it up??

Thanks for your time,
pb4sc

I just brought a new iron and already it has brown liquid seeping from the holes an onto my clothes. What is the "BROWN" stuff that builds onto the irons surface and thru the holes? Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Is there a way to clean it off once it does take place? Are there certain products that you can use either way (to prevent or to treat)?

I recently bought a house and I was given some industrial insulation. It is basically rolled up into one huge roll. I was wondering how I could put it in my unfinished garage on the walls and make it stay. I plan to put some peg board over it after it is installed. Any ideas? Thank you.

Our neighbor likes to have parties in his front yard, complete with booming music that goes right through our walls, even though we live down the street! Neighbors ask him to turn it down - he won't.

He doesn't care that he is basically deciding how all of us live, and can't seem to understand that just turning down the bass would solve the problem - he says it's not his problem.

He even threatened another neighbor who asked him to turn it down. Multiple police calls later, he still doesn't get it. We've even put up sound barriers on the wall, trying to get some peace. He won't listen - what will help?
