I just saw a mouse in my condo and I want to know how to get rid of the thing. I would rather use something humane, but I also want something that will work... any suggestions?

A Yahoo search for "humane mouse control" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 133 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.

Good luck with your search.

Place 4-6 traps around the perimieter of the room with peanut butter for bait. DO NOT set the traps until you see which ones are drawing the mice. Once you have trained them for a few days, you can set the traps. If you saw a mouse, you have more. They can reproduce in less than three weeks, so you need to kill them. Mice are rodents and carry disease. Wear latex gloves when handling the traps after they have been out. Please don't catch and release mice so that they can infest someone else. The humane thing is to kill them.

The only thing I have ever known to work long term was this thing I got at Wal-Mart. I can't remember the actual name but it was a device that pluged into the wall and emitted some sort of sound that only mice could hear. The sound apparently is very irritating to mice so they stay away. The device can be found at Wal Mart by the mice traps and it's about $15.

In this case, humane means 'without cruelty.' Right?
Actually, a mouse trap kills instantly. Then you can take the carcass to the trash. If you use poison, the mouse may wander into a hiding place and die, leaving behind a bad odor and food for roaches and ants.

;-D Just do it.

You can probably use mouse bait, which can be found at local supermarkets....
Also, find a broom, and sweep them out (If the worst comes to the worst).
If you can find a mouse hole, place a sock or something like that to block it, and you should be able to get rid of the mice pretty quickly!

Okay, this problem is very easy to solve. All you have to do is the following...--

++dont leave food laying around your house
++get little mouse traps like sticky paper, or ones that snap(watch out or feet)
++keep your house tidy, they like to get itno your clothes or anything that will make a nice home, so don't leave clothes or papers on the floor

Good luck with your mouse problem....

You can either rent or buy a humane mousetrap from the pet store which gets the mouse inside and then you release the critter outside, so he can turn around and come back into your condo. Kill it! Its vermin, disease carrying vermin.

Is getting a cat an option? Because cats will detect mice that you never even see. But there are humane traps that don't kill the mice.

REALLY mice are infest for all countries.

There are two things you may use:
(1) Wire trap - where there are foods inside and when they it eat, he will be trapped inside. or,
(2) Sticky trap - when they run through it, they will stick and they cannot get out of it.

Don't use poison food, as they will run through which you cannot get it...

We live out in the country and you would be surprised at what varmits think your home is their home. I know this might sound cliche' ish, but buy a cat. Or better yet, adopt one.
