I mean, every home owner would agree that paying for a house is one thing, affording it another. If someone would make my house three times larger, add a huge garage and put extensive landscaping in, wow... I would have to get a second job just to maintain it. The electricity bill alone would send me to brokeville. Am I the only one thinking this way?

I've checked all the major online flower shops to no avail: proflowers, 800flowers, ftd, conroys, etc. Does anyone know where I can purchase these beautiful roses?

We had some plums given to us and my son really wants to plant them. I'm sure that they wouldn't grow. How can I make them grow, would they need to be fertilized first? I know nothing about growing plum trees.

Besides pulling it obviously.
My lawn is being overtaken with crabgrass and other weeds. I have yet to find a good way to kill it so the good grass (what is left of it) can grow and fill everything back in.
Tips please!!

I asked before, but am hoping for a few more answers. I have heard planter and water well. Still would like more choices if you can think of any.

I want it to remain outdoors. I don't want it to be a "table" because I have two real ones. I saw on hgtv website to make into bird houses by dividing inside and drilling holes, but theirs was half the size and was able to be hung. This one is really big, and birds wouldn't go in it if it was sitting on the ground. There are no chipmunks and squirrels in this town. Any other crafty ideas?

Essentially I want to install a vented range hood. I will need to run the ductwork to out the roof if possible. The wall on which the hood will be mounted is the common wall. The wall is finished. I haven't got the chance to check but I'm sure it is only a stud's width. The duct will have to go up to the second floor up the wall and into the attic and finally out the roof. I don't think this is possible? What would be the best method of running a duct. Do I essentially have to build a box around the duct????

I am installing a free standing propane fireplace where the appliance is inches away from an outside wall. Due to the clearance of the gas piping under the appliance and the height off the floor it would be nice to install the sediment trap on the outside wall of the house. Will this be OK. Is it OK if it were to freeze?

okay, it is small, has a thick stem/stalk, light green leaves, the stalk is kind of whitish green with what looks like a brown clear coat over it if that makes any sense. the leaves are thick, but really soft and the edges are ruffly. i bought a house that had a greenhouse attached and this plant has been in the greenhouse all summer w/o water and no ventilation and it's still alive. the only other survivor is an aloe vera plant. i know it's a vague description, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know, thanks!
