If the plunger won't work you will need to remove the commode from the floor (I know, yuck) and open the line with a cable.

A plunger usually does it for me. You may have to try a lot of up-and-down plunging action to loosen whatever is in the drain. It's possible that your snake went right by it and only the back-and-forth action of a plunger will fix it.
Plungers are funny... the few times I've used them, I was sure it wasn't doing any good. Then the drain opened up and all was fine.

How did you get a snake thru the trap on the toilet ? Guessing you might of used a toilet auger . If so most likely there something jamb into the bottom of the toilet . You need a remove the toilet and pull whatever out of the bottom then reset the toilet
