I'm building a flexy rack for some servers. Each server weights about 40-50lbs and want to know if MDF can handle the weight, and if so at what thickness. (1/2" or 3/4")

The "Butterfly Pleco" is not a Pleco or indeed even a Catfish, it's a River Loach. And they need coldwater with a strong current, they are not compatible with high end tropical fish like Neons. Don't rely on Pets at Home for accurate fishkeeping knowledge!! Really Neons do prefer a larger tank and it is a tight squeeze in a very small tank like a 54 litre. You could probably get away with 2 more Neons and maybe a couple of ghost or cherry shrimp, but not anything else. FYI the "inch per gallon" rule does not work and usually ends up with an overstocked tank with inappropriate fish.

MDF sags if used as a shelf without support. plywood better. they also sell ready made shelfs at the Home Depot.
