After applying thousands of gallons of paint in my time, I've come to know one thing. YOU can paint ANYTHING.

The question more directly relates to the surface to be painted, and prep to be done to create a surface that will take the paint, and Leave it there.

I haven't heard the word tackboard in years, and I live in a mobile.

You don't give deatils however as to the surface other than the 'substance" Is it raw? Is it finished already in any way? Etc.
