Most trees that age just need the normal TLC. Water when it is dry. Feed during the summer. However, when you have a tree that old, you really should consult a "tree doctor" or "tree service." Some insect infestations have done major damage before you even know there is a problem. Look in your local yellow pages or consult your Chamber of Commerce.

I think I even saw something on TV once about using lighting rods to protect trees. Again, consult the tree doctor for that. I caught that on an early morning local programming promotional show for our local Tree Doctor.
