Just wondering what other Bristolians think of the new bin scheme?

Weve got the black wheelie bin, which still gets chock-full, the green garden waste bin, the food bin, paper/glass etc recycling box and a non-existent bin for cardboard.

Ive found the black wheelie bin is still getting a full as I dont have any plastic recycling within walking distance (I dont drive) and its now collected less often.
The food bin is stinky, and my cat has worked out how to flip the handle to open it.
My green bin gets myseriously topped up overnight by unknown persons.
And as for leaving cardboard out with no bin, well weve just got cardboard blown all over our street!

I think the council meant well, but having 4 different trucks coming out to collect rubbish is polluting the environment even more.

How is everyone else getting on?

When I look online at real estate there are some homes with a fancy little box around them that reads "Showcase." What does this mean? Is it a new listing? Is it being lived in now and furnished?

Two years ago I bought the house and the roofer said to have fixed the leak. Last year (when it started raining againg) I noticed the leak was not fixed and he came back out and "fixed" it. Now once again it has started raining and there is still a major leak and causing major drywall damage. Is he liable for this damage?

I plan to remove the old layers of paint that are peeling, before painting. We have installed a fan/vent, but the humidity in the full bathroom is still very high. What sort of wall cover can I use, that won't succumb to mold/mildew or peeling?

I just had laminate counters installed today, and after the installers left, I noticed glue on the surface in one section. I called and they said to use alcohol, which I did but it didn't remove it.
I can wait for them to return, but I'd really like to take care of this asap.

Who thinks its a good idea to match a dearly departed loved ones name with the latin or common name of a plant and source it, to plant on the grave or in a garden of remembrance or even just in your garden as a fitting tribute?

I would like to know if the leopard ever really changes its spots. I am wondering if there are any domestically challenged housewives out there who got their act together and now run a clean house.

(by engaved, I mean that it looks burned in.)The long dresser has an engraved tree and fence on the top of the mirror, that dresser as a picture engraved of a "water mill". The tall dresser has a horse and buggy, and there is nothing on the night stand.

My city is experiencing Stage 2 water restrictions.
Could you please explain the following?

1. What the Aquifer level has to be for each stage to take affect.
2. What each stage-limit entails.
3. Do restrictions differ from state-to-state?
4. Is it a necessity to water your yard, other than it looking nice? Does it mess with foundation(or whatever)?
5. How many stages are there?
6. Can the aquifer run completely out of water? What would you do then?
