What can i use to paint metal that wont wear off.?

I need a paint that i could use to paint a skateboard grind rail. I would like the paint that wears of the least.

I think you meant to say, one that wears the BEST, correct? You need to use paint especially for metal, such as One Shot Enamel, Enamel Spray Paint, or any of the craft paints at the stores that say ENAMEL. If you are looking for a completely wear proof paint, I don't think it exists! Especially if the skateboard rails will be subjected to abrasion from skating down rails, etc. The paint will eventually scrape off. Try the hardware store or Home Depot for some enamel spray paint, and mask off the areas of the board that you don't want to be painted with paper and painter's tape, it's blue and in the paint aisle. You might want to look into powder coating. However this usually requires the finish to be heat treated. If this is not possible, a good poly based paint such as DuPont imron is very wear resistant

Prime with XIM bonding primer, and top coat with Sherwin-Williams Industrial Enamel. LIke some of the previous anwsers mentioned, there is no wear-proof paint, but this system should work well for you.

Go to your local paint store (Dunn Edwards, Frazee, Vista, etc) and ask for advice. Paint depends on the metal you are painting, age, sun exposure, etc.
