I am in Spring where I live and about a month ago cut my roses back which were looking spindly. I was careful to cut each stem a little above the eyes, etc., but for two of my bushes, the roses have not come back. Plenty of nice new green leaves, but no buds whatsoever. One of the others is covered with roses. Any ideas to get these other bushes flowering again??

The tree is about 5 years old and 4 feet high. The fruits are about 4-5 inches and hard, but now split. I think runined.

My neighbors lawns both drain onto my lawn which they water every night plus we water ours every night too as it only drains to the left and the right and the middle is left dry. My husband thinks this may be a "grading" issue or that possibly if we punched little holes in the lawn that it would fix the problem. I'm not so sure though as our dog dug a hole about 6" deep and 3" wide and there is standing water in it. What can we do to fix this problem?? we have a veritable swamp and hornets are attracted to the standing water.

Since we came back from two week vacation, they have appeared !! We shut off our water supply and wonder if they come up the pipes because of no water flow for two weeks. We sprayed Raid down the area where the toilet is attached to floor. They were gone until we left again for three days and shut that water off. They are back ! Internet solutions do not rid them it seems. What can you suggest. Tried , bleach, ammonia, ant bait traps, and obviously we have not reached the nest and queen. I thought they would drown !!! Help want fast remedy if possible. Are they eating the wood under the linoleum !! They are light in color and about 3/4 " long. Not very black and run fast !! What could be the source of the nest > Could it be the water tank > Just seems odd that until the water was shut off, we did not see any ants at all !!

Our house is now 38 years old and still has original wiring, (twin & earth cable which still seems to function ok)
Our fuse box is a Wylex 6 way box with cartridge fuses.

As a first step due to cost and disruption would a qualified electrician fit a new fuse box and test the existing circuits.
What certificate would we be supplied with to say the new fuse box was ok and the existing circuits were still in order.

Could a rewire then be done in stages at a later date again by a qualified electrician?

The trunk looks like a bunch of woven ropes and is very condensed as is the foliage. Sound familiar?

I am going to try to sew myself a dice bag later today with my mom. I want to eventually sew my own clothes and doll clothes. My mom is a little rusty, so I don't know how much she will be able to explain to me, but she used to make all of our clothes when we were younger. I have sewn christmas stockings in the past, but they were all pretty horrible.
Mostly I need your insight on any beginner mistakes so I can try to avoid them. I'd also be interested in free patterns for plus size women or over the shoulder bags.
The most burning question I have is how to make the drawstring for my bag. I won't be using a pattern since it's basically two rectangles sewn together, so I'm unsure of how to do it.
Thanks for the help!

I have one of those hanging bags for strawberrys and I don't know much about strawberry plants. So I was wondering what to do with them when winter comes.

The transom window above our front door has a big scratch in it. Is this something that can be repaired? If so, how?

The house is less than 3 months old, and the builder claims that surface damange like this isn't covered under our warranty.
