What is your rule regarding shoes in the house. Who does it apply to family friends, etc. What do you wear on your feet at home. What do your guests mostly wear.

When i get in my door the frist thing i do is take my shoes off, I wont ask you to if you came over,but i feel better taking mine off...Then after a day of work and taking my shoes off I put my P.J's back on and start cleaning..Then my kids get home and we do home work,eat clean some more fix supper and put the kids to bed and CLEAN some more....And that is what i do in my house.......

I wear shoes when I get in the door and take them off shortly after if I'm going to be home for a while. If you are a "guest" in my home I expect you to treat it with respect but I am not going to invite someone over and have rules. Shoes are optional. If they want to take them off that's their decision. If I had someone over who just got off work and runs in pig poop all day I might ask them to remove their shoes prior to coming in but that doesn't happen very often.

Usually I have everyone family and friends take there shoes off. It shows respect for my house. I would be cleaning my carpets once a month otherwise. But if they are not staying to long I'll let them slide and keep them on unless it's wet outside. And for me I love to be barefoot. Slippers in the winter.

I treat my guests like guests. I don't impose arbitrary rules on them.
