No way. They are good insect hunters who stalk their insect prey and do not build webs. They are anaggressive hunter, but are more afaid of humans than you are of them. If you are inundated with them you probably have a lot of insects around do to trees, shrubs and vegetation. If in your house, walk the exterior and caulk all utility penetrations such as gas lines, cable, etc. . Terminix yearly contract is pretty affordable, they're good and will come back to re-treat as many times as you want for free. Wolf spiders, again are definitely not poisonous.

All spiders bite. As to whether or not they are poisonous...when I searched for them on line many different kinds came up. So, are you sure it is a wolf spider and if so which kind? One site said they can be confused with a brown recluse which is very poisonous. Look thru the spider sites and make sure of what you have. I just typed in wolf spider. m

There is a difference between poisonous, and venomous. For example, a person can eat something that is venomous and (sometimes) be ok. On the other hand if they inject something that is not poisonous, say milk, there can be terrible consequences. The first part of your question has to do with the rout of the toxin.
For part two of your question, although their bites may cause reactions in some, wolf spiders are not venomous.

"Wolf Spiders can bite, but a Wolf Spider bite is no more dangerous than a Bee Sting. Wolf Spider bites can cause reactions in some people."

The bites of most spiders are so mild that most victims don't know they've been bitten. Wolf spiders look mean but they are not poisonous. The only venomous spiders in America are the black widow and the brown recluse.

Wolf spiders are not poisonous, though as with all spiders, bites may cause reactions in certain individuals. They are often confused with the brown recluse.
