I have a small room with popcorn on the ceiling. I was wonder what color i should used to make my room more spacious. I also have birch furniture and want something that will compliment that. I want to paint my entire room even my ceiling, the problem is i have popcorn on my ceiling. Would it look weird if i just painted my walls and left my ceiling white? if so, what other options do i have. Thanks for all ur help. Appreciate any kind of advice

I am remodeling a condo (almost finished), but one of the showers is SO nasty. It is cultured marble and the door is textured glass. It was a rental for 17 years, and it is nasty dirty with mildew, rust stains, and just dirt. I've tried all kinds of things to clean it, and it gets some gunk off, but not all of it, so it still looks dirty. Any ideas on how to get it REALLY clean without harming the marble? Thanks!

There is so much info on 'replacement' windows where the header already exists. What about if you want to add a brand new window in a room? I don't think it involves a 'load bearing wall' but don't even know if that makes a difference. I don't want to waste my/their time having contractors come to my home if this isn't even possible. Thanks.

Has anyone heard of boiling cedar chips and using the water to spray the baseboards to get rid of the "Huge" roaches? An elderly man my husband came in contact with told him this but didn't tell him how much water? chips? Our next door neighbor has a tree full of them. She sprayed an insecticide in the trees and now we have them in our house. We have two small grandchildren living with us and are limited to what we can use.

We are a family of 5. Our new apartment opens up on the 17th. My friends have offered 2 trucks for the move. We have moved 4 times in the last year (this move will be the last one for a while! Thank God!)

My downstairs cools down to about 75 degrees while my upstairs is nearly 81 degrees. I have tried closing the vents downstairs, which helps, but it is still not enough. Is there any cheap solution? Would it be worth adding insulation in the ceiling? I have storm windows and cheap blinds.

I wash them, and then I let them air dry. When I use them later, they sometimes smell bad, and I'll stop drinking whatever it is I'm drinking. Obviously, bacteria must be causing the odor.

My two year old went to bed with chocolate milk...major no no. Well of course it spilled all in the bed causing the red sheet to fadeonto his favorite new pajamas.
