Definitely. If he was a teen or a kid I might be ok with it, but most adults don't go around selling candy door to door. That is usually a youth fundraiser. I would say that if you see him in the neighborhood again, get a good look and call the police. Tell them you are concerned because he is selling candy door to door at night and that you don't know for sure that he is doing anything wrong but that you would feel much safer if someone would send a car out to patrol the neighborhood.

He could have been trying to see if a man or a woman was home, if anyone was home at all, or even just trying to get a good look inside to see if there was anything of value.

Yep...lock your doors, close your shades, and call the police department. Ask them if they were aware if a company is in the area selling candy. Make sure that all of your windows are locked and keep your lights on for awhile. Criminals will usually try something like that to scope out a house. Keep your porch lights on. I am not trying to worry you, just make yourself a harder target to hit, and have 911 on your speeddial.

Sounds to me like a pedophile looking to see if kids are home alone at night, or a prowler seeing if a woman was at home alone. Next time don't even answer the door. Call the police immediately. You were right to think that something wasn't right. Good catch.

Yes. Notify the authorities immediately. It could be a delicious new chocolate shop down the block, but it could also be a man trying to rape or kill people. Make sure that the neighborhood is safe.

I think u should take caution. Who knows what kinds of lunatics are out there in the world. The candy might have had poison in it.
