There is so much info on 'replacement' windows where the header already exists. What about if you want to add a brand new window in a room? I don't think it involves a 'load bearing wall' but don't even know if that makes a difference. I don't want to waste my/their time having contractors come to my home if this isn't even possible. Thanks.

Almost anything can be done to a house if the right person is doing it. I am no expert but I would think this would be expensive tho. Won't they have to also change the roof on that part of the outside of the house...it just seems like a lot of work but it will look nice I am sure. You may want to see how much value this could add to your house were you to sell it to see if it is worth the money.
