I had two tomaties on a vine, and my daughter stuck a clove of garlic on the end for artistic affect. I kept not getting round to using them, and they didn't go soft, they kept looking jealthy while loads of shoots started to grow inside them. Eventually they were just a load of shoots. were they feeding off the garlic?

Our previous apartment was on first floor and it had a garden. We found a mouse in the kitchen. My wife is scared of mice. The apartment we plan to move is in the same neighborhood (10 street). Do you think it (same neighborhood) is related that with the issue?

Several years ago, I planted 4 small vinca plants for ground cover. It has completely filled in an area of about 4 x 6 feet, and it looks beautiful (esp. the lovely little blue flowers!) But I would like to thin it out a bit and plant/direct it to some other adjacent areas of the front yard. How do you do that, and when is the best time?
Thanks!

I'm pretty good at stain removal from clothing, but one thing I can never get out is chocolate ice cream. Of course that's my daughter's favorite. Any tips will be appreciated!

I want to dig an underground room, but I'm having difficulties finding good info on how deep to go for the ceiling not to cave in and other safety precautions. Everything I've found has been pretty vague, which makes me a bit leery to attempt the venture underground. Somebody please help a hermit that just wants some "tranquility with nature!"

Ok, I just read a article about dust mites and now I'm all disgusted and want to wash all my pillow cases and bedspreads. I know they can't physcially harm you except allergy wise but it still sounds so gross, millions of bugs crawling all over you while your sleeping? Opinions?

i'm considering giving them a go, just so i can get a thorough cleaning in my home. i usually do the cleaning, but every time i'm done it still feels "dirty". i guess it would just feel better to have a professional do it once, to give me a boost. that probably sounds a bit silly, but oh well.
also, how much would it typically cost for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, with an eat in kitchen and living room? they don't include prices on their website, because each house will cost a different price, which is understandable. i was just wondering how much, from people's past expiriences. thanks! :-)
