I am selling my house through a realtor and had an offer, accepted. She asked for 3 repairs to be made I agreed to repair one. Her inspector said there was a sewage leak that would cost $300 to fix. (I am providing a home warranty that she would only have to pay $60 to get it fix.) I have never noticed or smelled a leak in the basement so my realtor hired another plumber to inspect. He said that there was no leak and $300 would not touch the cast iron pipes i have since it is an older home so he was not sure what the other plumber saw. My realtor and the buyer's realtor scheduled a meeting with the buyer and another plumber to inspect again and the buyer did not show up. Now she is backing out because of unreconsilable differences and my realtor says i need to release the earnest money. Is this right? My realtor also tried to call the plumber who originally did the inspection and he is conveniently no longer doing inspections two weeks after the initial inspection. What should I do?

Have golden oak wood flooring on main floor, with light and dark furniture that varies per room. Upstairs is carpeted but all dark wood. Would it look weird from the ouside to use a light toned shade downstairs and a dark toned blind upstairs? Can different shades be used on the first floor too - where the blinds would match the wood furniture, or should it all complement the floor?

I have an aloe Plant I bought at a garage sale. Well it doesnt stand very tall. But the main stem has about 6 stems growing off of it and the plant is very healthy like. So healthy in fact it leans to the right. I had to put a popsicle stick in it to keep ot from leaning. Any suggestion on how to keep it upright? Do I cut off some of the stems. Other than the droopingg problem the plant seems very heatlthy. I have cut off the damaged stems around the base. And theres 2 babys growing around the main plant. Please help me?

First of all I know I should quit smoking, so please don't go there. The only room that smells is the room where my computer is. It reeks. I keep a smokers candle going and a fan but it doesn't help. Any suggestions?

I thought that overwatering does that, but I am definitely not overwatering them. They dry out inbetween waterings. The plants are also sparse and not getting nice and full and bushy like they usually do. They keep blooming but the leaves and stems are scraggly. They are pretty much in the shade as far as I can tell.

We just moved into a home with a water softener. How might this impact my plants? The leaves on some of them are turning yellow and falling off. Any way to test for this?

I have a textured floor on my bathtub, and it's really dingy dirty. It was like that when I moved in -- the old tenants didn't exactly keep it spotless. So anyway, I've tried everything. Clorox, toilet cleaner, magic erasor, degreaser, everything I can think of. It's technically clean, but it's stained so bad. Is there anything else I can try?

Why do bath towels get hard and scratchy? I've tried fabric softeners, but they don't work. Is this a male batchelor problem?

I know this sometimes happens with old towels...

I have a tower shelf that I'd like to use, however it is an ugly fake, pressed wood. I wanted to see if spray paint would adhere to the 'wood'.
