Mate, I wouldn't waste heavy beer on them - to expensive. If you must give them beer give them light ale. Make sure its bottled beer and not canned. Canned always tastes tinny to me. Or better yet put them in a pot and you can take to the pub, and maybe out for dinner and then dancing as well.

I don't know about beer, except that it is a good way to take care of slugs and snails--they can't stay off the stuff!
Why don't you try using the leftover water from your dishwater and bath? As long as you don't use a soap or detergent containing harsh chemicals or bleach, there shouldn't be a problem with your veggies and flowers drinking dishwater/bathwater. Many hand-dishwashing soaps are biodegradable.
I wouldn't use laundry water, though. Probably too many chemicals there.

Maybe try replacing your plants with ones that don't need as much water. Try some desert plants. There are some beautiful plants that flower and grow well in the desert, you just have to do some research to find out about those plants.

Yes you can give your plants beer. But it needs to be flat and room temp. My grandmother has been giving plants beer (not every day) for years and her plants are beautiful. You can do the same with some pops but they have alot more sugar and never a diet soda. Also plants like cold coffe and tea.

When I was a kid, I dropped a gallon of bourbon on the edge of the sidewalk and the grass stayed green all summer. Have you thought about buying bottled water? It's cheaper than beer.

What about buying bottled water?
And actually, if I recall right, the carbonation in soda can be good for plants. We did a test in the 7th grade with science, watering some plants with water, some with soda water. I can't recally the reason it was good for them, though.

watered down beer shouldn't hurt... the sugars in the beer are actually food for the microorganisms in soil... it has an acidic nature so be sure your using it on a plant that can take acid pH... i have read azaleas love a little beer now and then... oh and slugs... its a great trap for them... slugs love dem some beer...
p.s. you probably don't have to water down say...bud light, or miller light, or corona...since most of it is already watered down....

Check with your local government. Most of them allow hand watering between watering days for outdoor plants. I'm in SW Florida, and we have only one watering day per week, but that's for sprinkler systems. We can hand water anytime, and I do. Plus, check to see if drip irrigation is restricted. It isn't here.

Why not, plants are thirsty too. If the plant falls over, don't worry it is just drunk...
