I have chronic weeds in places I don't need any plantlife to exist.
While I can poison the area, i'd prefer to avoid that. But i'm lazy...

Is salt any good? Its not dirt cheap, so if its good, how much? Does it help for a month, or some longer duration?

Last April~June we planted around 260 pumpkins. The ones planted in April have fruit about the size of a basketball. In the last week to ten days, they've turned from green to orange. Are they mature, or should they stay on the vine longer?

although Du Pont claimst that Corian is non-porous and cannot be stained, those candle wax stains where candles used to stand, seem to be deep and irremovable. I even tried sanding, so far to no avail. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Those of you with alternative heating systems, can you tell me roughly how much monthly in the winter you pay for heat and what part of the US you live? Also, I am interested in solar options? Any info? Thank you!

We have a beautiful tree in the front yard that was recently hit by a lighting bolt. It knocked a lot of the bark off one side and dug about an 1 in into the tree itself. Can anyone tell us what we should put on the open area that has been damaged that may help save our tree. The damage is about 12in across and about 5 feet long.
Thanks
