because the definition on a fruit is something with seeds....peas are seeds right...

No Peas are Legumes, therefore are classified as VEGETABLE!

Unlike the Tomato which is a Berry!

No peas are not seeds.. They are a vegetable. They are the small round green bean which grows on a leguminous vine. Peas are a cool season vegetable crop.

isn't the difference between fruit and veg mainly about the way you use them (fruit = sweet, can be eaten unprocessed, veg = savoury, mostly eaten in processed form)? by that definition, the pea is very definitely veg... :-)
